block prints
This is a batch of cards I made last week. Although it's not strictly book-related (and a personal project to boot) I'm including it here because last year I began making block prints for books. They look nice on the covers of albums. I also decorated the endpapers of a re-bound book with a block print of an illustration from the book.
So far I've mostly carved things from nature. The snowflake, for instance, is the simplified form of an actual snowflake.
This daisy adorns the cover of a large album (scrapbook) presented to the outgoing president of my alma mater; the daisy is a traditional symbol at the school.
